PlowMaxx Standard Edge Options

Aggressive Scraping Rigidity for Universal Skid Steer Plates

Don't leave hard-packed ice behind for your shovel crews to clean. The PlowMaxx Standard (STD) Edge series puts raw mechanical clearing force straight into the pavement. This heavy-duty steel comes from a crew that spent years running commercial lots, built to survive brutal winters without downtime failures.

  • PlowMaxx STD Height: 36"

Target Machine Weight: Fits large-frame skid steers and compact loaders, 12,000 to 15,000 lbs.

Operator Note: At this size, a rigid steel edge starts fighting your machine instead of the snow. Every impact transfers straight into your frame and hydraulics. We recommend stepping up to the Metal Pless LiveEdge contouring system. It floats with the pavement, cutting salt usage by up to 50%.

  • PlowMaxx STD Height: 42"

Target Machine Weight: Fits compact wheel loaders, 15,000 to 18,000 lbs.

Operator Note: This is the only size in the lineup where we still offer a standard edge, and it's not the smart pick for most operations at this scale. Industrial sites and large yard footprints put too much stress on a fixed blade. Look at our LiveEdge floating systems before you commit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the PlowMaxx standard edge work on multiple machine brands?

Yes. Every STD configuration ships with a heavy-duty, universal skid steer attachment plate. It mounts straight to CAT, Bobcat, Kubota, JCB, and Wacker Neuson loaders right out of the crate, no adapter kit required.

How long should a set of standard bolt-on cutting edges last?

It depends on your pavement and how much salt you're running. Our high-abrasion carbon steel edges, paired with heavy-duty side pusher wear shoes, are built to hold up under sustained down-pressure without chewing up your plow's structural side wings.

Does my compact loader require multi-function electronic cab wiring to run this plow?

Yes. PlowMaxx runs on hydraulic wings, so a wiring harness is required on every model, standard edge included. Some machines have the controller built into the joystick; others need one added. Check our Wiring Harness Selection Guide to confirm whether you need a 14-pin or 8-pin harness.
